The Yorkshire Terrier is a young breed that was developed by the working men of North England. They developed this breed as a ratter and hunter that could penetrate into fox and badger burrows.
The "Yorkie" quickly became a popular pet, especially for women. They would carry this small dog under their arm or in their bag. Even though this breed is small, it will act as a guardian for its family.
